Why blog about your cancer experiences?
This was my answer when first diagnosed in 2009…..My second diagnosis (Encore Performance) came in 2012….The ride isn’t over yet….
It’s personal – in every sense of the word.
My diagnosis of Ductal Carcinoma In-Situ (a form of early stage breast cancer) floored those around me, along with many friends and family who live too far away to see that I am doing really well.

I am 31.
Yes – I’m in the under-35 age group which makes up only around 2% of all new breast cancer cases in Australia every year.
I feel it’s appropriate to document this ‘journey’ for myself, those around me, and perhaps others who I have never met, and may never meet. If someone is able to benefit from my experience even in some small way – I’ll be happy.
